Two great new things we’re buzzing about! We have a kickass new writer on board, welcome Dan Epstein! Catch his writing about music, baseball, and other witty cultural pieces in Rolling Stone among many other outlets. He wrote this cool book about baseball called Big Hair and Plastic Grass, and an insightful piece about Springsteen’s ‘78 album “Darkness On The Edge Of Town.” He’s a diverse and super talented writer and nails down interviews like no other!
Epstein interviewed Buzz Osborne for us. Osborne, aka King Buzzo, is the frontman of the Seattle rock band The Melvins who are actually on tour right now in Europe following their latest album Pinkus Abortion Technician which came out earlier this year.
Epstein gets Buzz to be very chatty and open up about guitar playing, touring, and stompbox design, one of our favorite topics of course. He also gave Epstein an awesome rundown of his pedal board for our upcoming “Pedal Boards” blog section which explores artists’ pedalboards in depth. Keep an eye out for that future post to get the insider view.
